How Caras Institute collects, uses, and protects information across our website, advisory engagements, and the CEO Peer Group — in plain terms.
“Your trust isn’t incidental to our business — it’s the foundation we build every engagement on.”
Introduction
Caras Institute (“Caras Institute,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides business advisory, executive coaching, business process outsourcing (BPO), the CEO Peer Group, public speaking engagements, and related books and content (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through carasinstitute.com (the “Site”) and in the course of delivering our Services, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
By using the Site or engaging with our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or provide us with your information.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you book a discovery call, submit a contact or intake form, apply for the CEO Peer Group, inquire about speaking engagements, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and any details you choose to share about your business.
Payment information. If you enroll in a paid program such as the CEO Peer Group, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers; the processor handles that information under its own privacy and security terms.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain information when you visit the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps, generally through cookies and similar technologies.
Communications. If you email, call, or message us, we retain that correspondence, along with recordings or notes from discovery calls or coaching sessions where applicable, to deliver and improve our Services.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries, schedule and conduct discovery calls, and deliver advisory, coaching, BPO, and speaking services;
- Process applications and payments for the CEO Peer Group and other paid offerings;
- Send appointment reminders, program updates, and — where you have opted in — marketing communications and newsletters;
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our Services;
- Comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations; and
- Understand aggregate trends in how the Site is used.
Cookies & tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze traffic. This may include analytics tools and advertising pixels that help us understand how visitors find and use the Site. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the Site may not function properly without them.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate our business, including customer relationship management and marketing automation software, video conferencing tools for calls and coaching sessions, payment processors, and video hosting platforms used to display media on the Site (for example, embedded YouTube content). These providers process information on our behalf, or independently under their own privacy policies, and may be located outside your home country.
Links to third-party sites — including our publisher’s page for Fundamentally Unstoppable — are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf (scheduling, payments, hosting, analytics, communications);
- Professional advisors, subcontractors, or specialist partners engaged to deliver a specific advisory or BPO engagement, where necessary to the engagement;
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
Data security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, and comply with our legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.
Children’s privacy
Our Services are directed at business owners and executives and are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
